Marlino
You may not be able to see him on the turntables, but you’ll know it’s him
by his mixing style. Best known for his work at San Diego’s 90.3 Jammin’ Z90
FM, DJ Marlino “da5footafunk”, an 18-year veteran to the DJing game, brings
an aggressive, hard hitting, head nodding, hands in the air, party rocking
set to every dance floor or airwave he encounters. The uniqueness of his
style compared to most DJs is comprised of the influences from his hometown
of San Francisco, and his ability to bring out the power and energy of the
music he puts together.
His DJ career started as a mobile disc jockey in 1988, djing private
parties, weddings, proms, and high school dances. With hard work,
determination, and persistence he recieved an opportunity to work in the
radio industry in 1995 at WILD 107.7 FM (which shortly changed to WILD 94.9)
in San Francisco, where he built his foundation and fine-tuned his skills.
As his career flourished, in 1997, he landed himself a spot as an On-Air
Personality and Mixshow DJ at Jammin’ Z90.3 FM in San Diego. While at Z90,
his notable accomplishments included being the first DJ in San Diego to spin
live on the air on 3 turntables, as well as obtaining a position on every
mixshow such as "The Uppy Wake Mix", "The Seven O'clock Wake Up Mix", "Drive
at 5", "9 O'clock Quick Mix" and "House of Z". All in all DJ Marlino's mixes
have been heard by millions locally, nationally and worldwide.
Since then, DJ Marlino has made several guest appearances on various radio
stations and nightclubs throughout the United States and Mexico, opened up
at several concerts for various artists such as Ice Cube, Westside
Connection, Naughty By Nature, Xzibit, Destiny's Child, and many more, and
has headlined specialty parties like the Maxim Party at the Harris Rincon
Casino. In addition, he has also a few DJ titles under his belt. In 1998, DJ
Marlino took first place in the Music Power DJ Spin-off in San Diego, and
3rd place at Nightclub Bar & Grill's International DJ Spin-off at The Beach
Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Today, DJ Marlino "da5footafunk" continues to impact, influence and rock the
nightlife and airwaves nationwide.

Mr. Groove
Burkley Hoang aka Mr. Groove has been in the DJ scene since 1992. He first got the love for the Hip Hop culture at a young age and has done every aspect of the culture; graffiti art, B-boying (when he was about 40lbs. lighter) MCing, and DJing). But he really got the love and drive to DJ when he first saw the video Brand New Funk by Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. From there he met one of his mentors, DJ Style through mutual friends and he taught him the basics of deejaying. It was until he linked up with DJ Rom that he got his foot in the mobile deejay scene and got into Project3(a brother group of 3 Style Attractions, which he is apart of today). Today Mr. Groove is apart of the collaboration of deejays that make the group, The SHARPSHOOTERZ CREW. He has deejayed many venues in Downtown San Diego from Decco’s, E Street Ally, Blue Tattoo, The Rox, and Fifth Quarter to clubs in Pacific Beach at Canes and Plan B. He has traveled the West Coast deejaying at venues in Hawaii, Las Vegas and San Francisco. He says what drives him to deejay is “The love of the music”.
